Top issues during term (9)(Parks Rec)
Naming the community garden for Mayor Krupa
The garden itself is funded by a Community Development Block Grant; the naming itself costs nothing.
Public computer time limits
Children's program capacity at the library
Library food and drink policy
No-fines library policy
The library forgoes late-fee revenue, but removes a cost barrier for residents.
Adult literacy grant funding
About $27,000 in state grant funds, with the city picking up in-kind costs.
Autumn Kickoff combined community event
Combining events saves the city money on overtime and setup.
Senior center
Estimated $500,000 a year in operating costs, which is uncertain given the budget gap.
Weston Park revitalization
Targeting an $8.5 million state grant; splash pad operations would add roughly $30,000-$80,000 a year in city costs.
